Leslie Zuniga, M.D.

Leslie Zuniga, M.D. is a fellowship-trained and board-certified neurologist. She completed her neurology and clinical neurophysiology (EMG) training at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona, where she served as chief resident. She is specially trained in electrodiagnostic testing including nerve conduction studies (NCS) and electromyography (EMG). She also interprets electroencephalography (EEG). Her clinical interests include neuromuscular diseases such as peripheral neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, and ALS.

She is a graduate of the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, Arizona. Prior to her medical training, she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Physiology at the University of Arizona and also completed a Master’s degree of Science in Physiological Sciences. During her graduate training she focused on neuropharmacology in Parkinson’s Disease.

Dr. Zuniga is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine. She has presented at several national conferences and has numerous publications including a book chapter on peripheral neuropathy. In her free time she enjoys reading, going to the movies and hiking.
